Young Neuroscientists Symposium – XIX Reunión Anual de de la Sociedad Chilena de Neurociencia

The Sociedad Chilena de Neurociencia (SCN) is pleased to announce the «Young Neuroscientists Symposium» as part of our upcoming Congress. We invite PhD
students, postdocs, and young researchers in the early stages of their careers to participate (i.e., independent principal investigators of competitive grants and assistant professors that have started in their position no longer than three years before the application). The selection process for this symposium will be based on scientific merits.

Guidelines

1. We have four available slots for presentations. The selected applicants will be invited to present
   their work at the symposium. All selected participants will receive full fellowships, which cover
   registration fees and accommodation at the Hotel Club la Serena for the duration of the congress.
2. Awardees are required to attend the entire congress.
3. Up to two slots will be allocated to applicants residing outside of Chile, while the remaining slots
   will be given to applicants from Chile.
4. Only one applicant from the same laboratory or collaborative research group will be awarded a
   slot.
5. Presentations must be in English.

Applicants are requested to submit the following documentation

1. An English abstract describing the work to be presented (maximum 250 words).
2. A curriculum vitae including personal information such as full name, nationality, date and place
   of birth, country of residence, affiliation, education, awards and honors, research experience,
   publications, meeting presentations, and any other relevant information.
3. An informal letter of reference from the thesis advisor, postdoctoral supervisor, or head of the
   department.
