FALAN Congress 2026 is committed to supporting the participation of students and early career researchers across Latin America and the Caribbean through its Travel Grant program.
Eligibility
Travel Grants are available for:
- Undergraduate students
- Postgraduate students
- Early Career Researchers (within five years of obtaining their PhD)
Applicants must submit an abstract to be considered for the grant.
Important Information
- Application deadline: April 15
- No registration fee is required to apply for the Travel Grant.
- The amount awarded per grant will be determined based on proximity to Santiago, Chile.

- Create and submit your abstract.
- Complete the FALAN–IBRO Scholarship Application within the platform.
FALAN 2026 will take place in Santiago, Chile, from August 31 to September 3, 2026.
We strongly encourage eligible students and early career researchers to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to present their research and engage with the regional neuroscience community.

I would like to confirm some information. I submitted my application for the Travel Grant within the stipulated deadline, using the form directly from IBRO (link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeIjQ_FcfHtjqSy3P2Bf9FDABS_JnemIevMx1WbqOPo8jxY5w/closedform). However, I would like to confirm the need to also register through the 4id website. I am updating my profile on the site (4id.network) and entering my registration information now. Could you tell me if my application for the Travel Grant will still be considered?
Travel Grant results are still under evaluation, and we cannot yet confirm the announcement date.
However, please note that applicants will still be able to access the second early registration fee if Travel Grant results are communicated after May 1, as indicated on the congress website.
Participants may also choose to complete their registration in advance. If needed, registration fees may be refunded upon request before June 20, according to the congress cancellation policy.
