IBRO/Dana BAW Grants & Global Engagement Seed Grants 2021
IBRO/Dana Brain Awareness Week (BAW) Grants aim to educate the public about the benefits of neuroscience research and increase awareness about the wonders of the brain by increasing opportunities for outreach and awareness campaigns in regions challenged by a lack of resources, support and/or public understanding about the brain. This is the second year of these grants generously supported by funding from the Dana Foundation.
The funding will support projects organized for Brain Awareness Week in countries anywhere outside of Europe, USA and Canada. It is not a requirement that proposed projects take place during the official Brain Awareness Week (March 15-21, 2021). However, they must support, promote and run under the title of the global Brain Awareness Week campaign.
Applications are now open so don’t miss this opportunity to join us and inspire the world about the brain!
Up to 1,250 USD will be awarded for each successful proposal.
Application Deadline: 1 August 2020 (11:59 p.m. CET)
Global Engagement Seed Grants support neuroscience societies, groups and organizations in the Asia/Pacific, African, Latin American, Middle Eastern and Pan-European regions that would like to conduct outreach events and activities in their local areas in 2021.
These are offered as part of the IBRO-led Global Engagement Initiative, formerly known as the Global Advocacy Initiative which was launched in 2012.
Proposed events and activities should address the specific needs of neuroscience engagement and outreach in the country where they are being held. They can include activities such as public lectures and public fairs; advocacy events with policymakers, educators, the media and the public; the development of educational videos or multimedia products to increase awareness; and other similar activities.
Please note that Global Engagement Seed Grants are not for scientific research, scientific meetings, travel grants or research staff support.
Up to 5,000€ will be awarded for each successful proposal.
